Commissioned by the Pomona College Orchestra for their 2022/23 Season
This work is an abstract depiction of three memories from my life. They are all times when I was leaving a place that I had lived in for a long time to move my life somewhere else. Far from much of my previous work, it distills and obfuscates concrete metaphor in favor of a more freely and expressively abstract musical aesthetic.
The premiere is slated for November 18th at 8pm in Pomona’s Bridges Hall of Music. A second performance will take place on November 20th at 3PM. To view a perusal score, please look below.
